1. Admire Ecuador’s famous roses or even better visit a flower farm. Ecuador is one of the most important flower producers in the world. There are roses and exotic flower farms that you can visit in Imbabura, Pichincha, Cotopaxi and Azuay Provinces.

2. Visit Colonial Quito and Panecillo Hill to get a great look out of the city. Also visit “La Compania” Church, “San Francisco” and “The Cathedral” in Quito.

3. If you are in Quito from 1 to 6 december, do not miss all the cultural activities for our foundation “Fiestas”, including bullfighting at the very Spanish style, parades, food festivals, and “40”: Quito’s favorite family cards game, etc.
 
4. If you are in Quito for the end of the year, 31st. december, you can not miss the “Año Viejo” Contest at Amazonas Avenue. “Año Viejo” is a kind of funny puppet representing the year that is finishing, it can be represented by a politician or someone famous that year in Ecuador or worldwide. This puppet is burned at midnight.

5. Presence the processions in Quito during Holy Sunday (Easter)..

6. Visit the Middle of The World, Paralel 0 and its interesting Ethnographic Museum, 20 Km north Quito. Take a picture of you with one foot at the north hemisphere and the other foot at the souther hemisphere. At the Inti Ñan Museum, taste all the strange phenomenons that proof that you really are in the center of the world.

7. Visit the beautiful San Pablo, Cuicocha, Mojanda and Quilotoa Lakes.

8. Visit an indigenous market like Saquisili, Pujili, Guano or Otavalo at 05:00 when all the sellers are setting their offerings, including domestic animals for sale: guinea pigs, lambs, cows, horses, goats, chickens, llamas, alpacas, etc.
9. Pamper yourself at Papallacata Hotsprings, 2 hours ride northeast direction from Quito

10. Climb or downhil biking in Cotopaxi Volcano or at least visit its famous National Park.
